Jennifer Wellner

Jennifer Wellner is a graduate of the University of Minnesota receiving, in 1973, both a B.A. degree in studio arts, summa cum laude and a B.S. degree. Ms. Wellner was a student of George Morrison and feels that he was influential in her art. After her summa theses show in drawings at the U of M's Coffman Memorial Union in Minneapolis in 1973, and participation in the fine arts show at the Har Mar Mall in Roseville, Minnesota, she traveled to Sydney, New South Wales in Australia and taught art at Auburn Girl's High School for one year from 1974 until 1975.

Upon her return from Australia, Ms. Wellner attended law school at the University of Minnesota, receiving her Juris Doctor degree in 1979. She has been in private practice as an attorney since that time and continues to practice in a law partnership in Circle Pines, Minnesota.

Throughout her career as an attorney, Ms. Wellner continued to draw and paint , but did not submit her work for exhibition until 2005. She has accumulated a collection of her works, primarily acrylic paintings, which you can view on the gallery pages.
